Putin wants to hear state support steps for filmmakers over COVID

MOSCOW, Dec 28 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has asked the government for proposals of support for the filmmakers to cushion the COVID-19 consequences until March 25, 2021, according to a statement released on the Kremlin’s website on Monday.

“To present proposals on state support in 2021 and 2022 to the Russian film companies showing national films in the Russian Federation on a permanent basis to soften the consequences of the restrictive measures aimed to prevent expansion of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19),” the statement read.

Putin is also waiting for suggestions of a 3% corporate profit tax for animation filmmakers by March 15, 2021.
